BUILD OUT LINE
On a goal-kick, defensive free kick inside the penalty area, or when the goalkeeper has possession of the ball with their hands, the opposing team MUST move behind the build-out line until the ball is put back into play.
IF the goalkeeper does punt or drop-kicks the ball, the restart is an indirect free kick awarded to the opposing team at the penalty area line parallel with the goal at the nearest point where the infringement occurred
On a goal-kick, a defensive free kick inside the penalty area or when the goalkeeper has possession of the ball with their hands, the opposing team may cross the build-out line when ONE of these conditions are met:
The restart for any build out line infraction by the opposing team will result in an indirect free kick at the spot of the infraction along the build out line.
